Daughter autopsy report back

We got our daughter Autopsy result back today and they said she had a subgaleal hemmorage which is bleeding between the skull and scalp. 90% of the time caused by the vacuum during labor. Which they did use on me. But she didn't even mention the vacuum to me I had to google subgaleal hemorrhage to find it. Which if serious can cause shock and death. And her umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck. But the whole time she just told me they found a subgaleal hemmorage. Which my hellp syndrome didn't cause my babies death at all unless.. My baby also had low platlets and which caused my babies bleeding to be worse between her skull and scalp which made it serious and caused the shock...?

Omgosh, it sounds like you have more questions than answers from this report. Again, I am so sorry for your loss...such a heartbreaking story

I can't imagine how tough it must have been to read that report. Have you asked the doctor about Ryleigh having low platelets and whether there was any connection to the preeclampsia?

Well she didn't even know for sure if ryleigh had low platelets. She told me the pathologist didn't do blood work on her. But she was just taking a guess and saying sense I had them ryleigh prob. Did too which made the bleeding on her head worse... Which to me is saying sense my hellp caused me to have low platelets it would cause ryleigh to have them also.. I guess?

And it was very tough going through the report... Knowing that my hellp syndrome didn't really have much to do with my daughters death.. But a combination of an injury on her head from the vacuum and cord being wrapped around her neck did.... It's just crazy of the possibility of all these things happening at once...

You are so brave to go through your daughters autopsy report. I got copies of medical and autopsy reports, but there were some things that I just could not go through. I had my husband, parents and another medical professional go through the reports just to make sure there wasn't negligence, but other than that I just can't even bare to read through it . It's not that I don't want to know everything...it's just that I was there when they were trying to resuscitate him and I could not do anything to help. Reading all that stuff gives me such vivid flashbacks and anxiety attacks. I am so sorry you are having to go through all of this... it's just heartbreaking.

I am so sorry for your loss. It is indeed very very heartbreaking.
My baby's heartrate also slowed down before delivery that's why they had to induce me. Her umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck but luckily she survived.
