2006 Walk a Thon Co-Cordinator Wanted

Hi Everyone-
I really want to plan this years Walk a Thon for the Harrisburg, PA area, in fact I signed myself up to do it. :)
But, being new to the area, I would really like someone to help with the walk. I really don't know the area and local business that well yet.I was planning to have the walk in Harrisburg, but we could do Hershey or Lancaster area also. Actually, I could do pretty much any location on the East side of the state.

My name is Heather I live in York PA only about 30 min. from Harrisburg I would be more then happy to help you with this in any way I can, because of my husbands work and my work we have lots of business contacts. We lost our son Conner on 8/15/05 to PE and I want to do anything possible to help this cause. hope to talk with you soon.

Hi Molly,

Just thought I might throw out the idea for shared advertising or promotion when we get closer to the 2006 walk date. I coordinate in Pottsgrove/Pottstown, PA about 30 mins from Reading, PA. I believe there is a conflict at my site for the national walk date of the 13th, but I will hold the event the week prior - or following (locals could maybe walk at your site and mine)??!! Possibly along with the Horsham, PA site we could spread the word to many!
Anyway, good luck organizing.

Hi Dawn-

Thats a neat idea. Horsham, PA is also having a walk? Did they do it last year? I just remember Philly and Pottsgrove. Would it make sense if we combined all three walks? What are your thoughts? Feel free to send me an email.

I think that if we could combine the WAT that would be a great Idea I have a lot of family that live in Philly, West Chester, Chester, Exton, Reading and they are all willing to walk and help with this. My mom works in Philly and said that she found some people that would sponser us once we get everything in order, My sister in law lives in reading and said that her comapny will sponser us. My sisters work in West Chesr and I think that I can get there companies to sponser us and I live hear in York and I think my husbands company will and the club that he belongs to said that they will to. I just have to give them all details. As of right now I have 35 poeple willing to walk mostly family (I have a huge family). So if we combine this or do the shared advertising I think we could really have a nice tun out and make some money for the foundation. I a working with Molly on this so I am willing to do what ever you ladies decide please just let me know and I will make sure that I can do everything that I can to help.
