Hi Jaime,

Great! Thank you. I will email you today. And truth be told I am not the biggest sports fan — this is evidenced by totally forgetting that Portland does indeed have a minor leage baseball team. Oops! So I will contact both the Portland Beavers and Portland Timbers and see where that gets me.... stay tuned.

I just wanted to let you all know that Spring Training is winding down and next Tuesday I will be getting ready to make the drive for the regular season (to Toledo or Detroit). My husband will only be able to get autographed balls from teams he may be playing in April, which is limited (and only IF he makes the big league team). So, I'm sorry, I won't be able to take any more "requests." However, I still encourage you to call the community relations person at any sports team...every one we've approached has been awesome so far. I will be collecting autographed items throughout the year to use in future PF events. If I've already emailed with you and told you I'm getting you something....I am. Should have everything mailed out the first week in April, if not before. Good luck to you all!

Alli.... you truly are amazing! I am in awe over all that you've accomplished. I did follow your lead and contacted the Portland Beavers and they've been great. They are donating tickets for auction, and I am in discussion with them about having a table in the concourse at the stadium's Mother's Day event on the 8th. We're talking about selling tickets, and part of all proceeds going to the PF, along with passing out literature and recognition on the matrix board, etc.

One question that just came from the Beavers is they need our tax ID number - can I get that from someone?

Danyel, That is soooo neat. That is such a great idea. I'm sooo happy that all the teams have been so supportive.


And honestly, Jaime, it's the least I can do. If we all use what resources we have, we're just doing our part....it just so happens that I'm the one with the baseball connection...I think anyone would do it. If I was really good, I'd go back to school, become a researcher and find the cure....then I'd be "a blessing!" [:D] And besides, this is my "outlet" for all the negative energy I possessed for months due to my (and all of our) inability to have fat healthy babies and/or worry-free pregnancies. I was walking around so angry and sad all the time. As you can see...there was a lot of energy in there. [:p] And I have done charity events before- it's much harder to volunteer to take on an inaugural event, especially when you have no idea what you're doing. So, thank you and everyone else on this board, working so hard behind the scenes for ourselves and the rest of our "PE sisters." I feel, as long as we're working to have our voices heard and save lives, no suffering or loss is in vain. I think that helps a lot of us get through the day. God bless you all!

Just connected with the asst. Gen Mgr. of the Reading Phillies baseball team (played college ball with my husband) and WOW...his wife is just entering the blood pressure and urine ranges for PreE!

He had some questions regarding our personal experience, and in the end he is making a personal donation to support the walk-a-thon in addition to sending me (on behalf of the team organization) team memorabelia AND 72 un-dated tickets to attend any games this season! What a give-away!

Just spoke to the Community Relations Manager for the Arizona Diamondbacks. He said that we meet the criteria for a donation and should definately receive a donation of some sort. He is still sorting through the "hundreds" of requests for April and was unable to confirm a specific item.

We will recieve word on a specific item by mid-April!!
