"What's Preeclampsia?"

That is the question of the day. As I handed out my walk registration forms, that was the first response. I think that is SO sad - especially considering that six attorneys in my office have pregnant wives - not one of them knew the preeclampsia even existed, or that pregnancy could be so dangerous. My answer to that question was "That is exactly why I'm doing this walk. Noone even knows what Preeclampsia is!"

Anyway, thought I'd share. We are doing a good thing here, guys!!! It's time to get the word out!!!

I'm with you! Family and friends know we had an emergency delivery, but most don't fully understand the condition I "survived". Many people who hear our story often come back with "oh I had edema too."

Anyway, I've been closing all of my walk-a-thon plugs with..."even if you are unable to be a part of the walk, please read the info I have included....awareness alone can make a difference..."

more motivation to keep up the organizing!
