Banners

Is there a banner design that we should use? I know there's not one for a Walk-A-Thon, but has the PF used banners for other events?

I have been talking with another member in regards to banners...hold that thought...I am working out some specifics with my dad and cost. Once we get the details I think you'll see a post about it.

did I miss an update post on the decision about banners? I have someone willing to make me some for my site, but I had them on hold because of a previous post from Jaime about universal ones being printed.

I will need to let this person know ASAP if I still want him to create for my local site (donating these free of charge). If this is okay to go ahead with, let me know of anything that must appear in a specific way (ex: PF logo, etc).

I just don't like asking for "an estimate" from my dad and him not getting back to me. I knew I couldn't ask him to donate the banners, but I don't also want to make everyone else wait on me or make me look stupid...!

In Arizona, we were able to secure a sponsor (Chick-Fil-A) for our banner, so for this year we won't need a banner from national. However, next year may be a different story. If we have a national sponsor for banners next year, then count us in. I would then ask Chick-Fil-A to contribute in a differnt way. I want to keep Chick-Fil-A happy. Everything is a go for this year and I don't want to upset the apple cart, so to speak.

By the way, we are gettig our banner form Kinko's for $155. This is a good price compared to two other printers in the area. This price includes unlimited color which is important for proper sponsor logo transfer.

I think the point of the banners coming from one place was to have them all be "the same". I might be wrong about this..it wasn't really coming from a National level. I hate to say this, but I know the price would be much less. The banners my dad makes are done on vinyl banners with vinyl letters, etc. Oh well. I would check with Eleni regarding the logo specs, camera ready art, in case you didn't think of that.
