WAT Planning Updates

T-Shirts
We have received prices for the t-shirts. We encourage WAT coordinators to find sponsors for the t-shirt costs. If you are unable to do so, the cost will come out of the $15 registration fee. Here are the prices:

Small-XLarge $2.70 each
XXL $3.92 each
3XL $5.40 each

There will also be shipping based on weight. We are in the process of designing the front of the t-shirt and expect it will have the PF logo in color, the WAT tagline, and potentially the WAT logo.

If you would like to have the printer add any logos to the back of your shirts, you need to let me know by April 1st with your final order. For a black-only imprint on the back of the shirt, an additional fee of $1.35 per shirt will be added, plus a screen charge of $30.00.

Final t-shirts orders are due on March 31, 2005. We will place the order for t-shirts on April 1 so they can be shipped out to you by April 15th. If you anticipate additional registrations, we will order 10 percent additional for walk-ins. If there are extra t-shirts, you can send them back to us and we will sell them.

Press Release Template
A template for a media press release will be sent to you via email on Friday, March 4. We will date the press release for Monday, March 7 as Fridays are not an ideal time to release announcements. This will allow you ample time over the weekend to plug in information about your local walk. If you have questions about how to send a press release, please let us know.

WAT Flier / Ad
Also on Friday, March 4 you will receive a flier that you can use to distribute regarding your WAT. You can also use it as a print ad if you have coordinated sponsored ad space.

Banners
There has been several requests for banners. We are in the processing of researching the potential for providing banners. Please stay tuned.

Insurance
Thank you for your patience regarding the insurance situation. We are still trying to connect with the insurance company. We left another message today and will continue to follow up. We will keep you posted on our progress. The insurance company does have a list of those cities that need to be listed as additional insured's.

Toll-Free Number
Good news! The toll free number has finally been routed to the administrative office in Minneapolis.

EXCELLENT news that we'll be able to add sponsors to the shirts. The extra charges aren't much - some companies will probably be glad to pay an extra $175 or so to be added to the shirts.

This is really coming together. How exciting!!

All of the information is great. My only concern is not getting a good count with tshirts in time...IF... we get a donation in our area, I assume we can "over order a bit" and then send back what we don't use. Sort of what you said in your post. Just waiting for sponsors to get back to us.

I'm sure you will get more info from Jaime on this, but you might want to ask the sponsors if they have a marketing, dept etc. Usually companies have camera ready art or specifics for how their logo should be printed on a t-shirt. I'm sure if you ask them, they'll have something to give you. She also has a sticky under the walk threads with her address! That is great news!

Any idea of an approximate cost of the banner? We (Wendy) has secured sponsors for absolutely everything for our walk in Toledo, but I want to make sure we can cover this as well. Just a rough idea maybe? Thanks!

Here in Phoenix we have secured a sponser for the cost of the banner. Kinko's has given us the best price of $155 for a outdoor banner,6ft x 3ft with color.
