Bake Sale

One of my walkers suggested a bake sale to help raise some more money on the day of the walk. I don't think it would be a problem to get some women together to bake a few cookies and sell a plate full of a few different kinds of cookies for somewhere between $3-$5 a plate. I thought it sounded like a good idea, what is your opinions?

That's a great idea, Alissa! In fact maybe I'll do it here in Minneapolis! (Of course, it is a grand idea, but finding time is a totally different story!!!!)

One walker is going to make cookies, my sister is going to make bars, I probably will make some bread and both of my grandmas said they will make whatever I want them to make and my mother-in-law said she would make something. So I think if it is just us making a few things is is better than nothing and anything left over-we will just eat!!I thought that if everyone got their stuff done by Friday night we can sit down and find a good way to put all the stuff together and price it. Since we really don't have a lot donated right now and can't raffle anything this would be a nice idea to see how well it goes and maybe next year we will ask more walkers to pitch in, bake sales go really well in this area.

Hope you're not too upset with me for doing this, but I just wanted to let you know very proud I am of you. You've taken the heartbreak of losing our Dominic and have turned it into something more positive than I ever thought possible. You are a remarkable woman and can't for the life of me imagine why God chose me to be your mom. As I've told you many times before, I want to be just like you when I grow up. It's quite obvious from reading the various replies to your postings, I'm not the only one that can sees how very special you truly are.
I love you to the moon and back!!!

Bread companies usually will donate their day old breads, that you can resale. Each week they donate to our church. Panera breads if they are in your area give them a call should be able to give ya something
