That's so strange, Wendy...mine didn't require signature. Have you e-mailed Jaime?

They didn't????? Mine did. did they come from UPS? IU assumed it was the t-shirts. I kept coming home to a sticky on my door that said "Three packages from {Jaime's company, I think?????} signature required" - so I left a note on my door and asked that they leave them with my neighbor, who agreed to sign for them, but they never did.....I will e-mail Jaime. I was thinking they COULD be delivered to my work if they needed to be signed for, but I'm simply not home during the day....

My shipment of t-shirt also did not require a signature, maybe because of your large order. But you could ask that UPS would hold them at your local postal office, I have done that before.

Wendy: I hope you get your missing t-shirt order resolved. Luckily, there is another whole week to sort out our odds and ends.

Aimee: Please don't be discouraged! Just doing the WAT, no matter how big or small, is the biggest accomplishement this year. Concentrate on the shirts you ARE filling and not the t-shirts you aren't. They're just t-shirts. Be proud of the terrific job you're doing.

Hugs,

Hey, Aimee, I'll be a virtual walker for GA if you have any empty XXL t-shirts lying around... I'll even pay for shipping! (can you believe that I don't have a tee yet? Egads!)

Laura, thanks!!! Too funny, I'm using the term Virtual Walker as a regular part of my registration process down here. I'll e-mail you. Being an XXL myself, I just happened to order a couple. ;)

Jill, thank you so much for the encouragement. I must admit, hearing the large registration numbers at some of the other sites had discouraged me a bit, but I keep reminding myself that I am one person doing what I can down here. BIG hugs back to you!

Hi All,

Wendy - I got your email today and talked to Alli. I'm not sure why the shipment required a signature. If they were shipped back they were likely sent to the printer in Chicago. I'll call him in the morning and give him a heads up. Don't worry! It will get straightened out!! [:D]

Aimee - I echo Jill's comments. Remember when we started this our goal was 20 cities with 50 people!!! So no matter what - even if there are only 10 people walking with the t-shirts - it is worth it!! It is all about Awareness!!

Hey Amiee, I kind of find myself thinking I should be doing more and raising more but then I think that most of the people walking are family and friends and their friends and then I see how many people stand behind me when I believe in something so strongly. It is unbelieveable to see all those people that are so willing to help you out. I remind myself that this is the first year and it can only get bigger and better from here. Hang in there-we are all doing great and am so honored to be a part of this!!!

We can credit Laura for the fact that there is a WAT in Arizona this year! Earlier this year when I was brought on as AZ GC, Laura and I were e-chatting and she suggested I coordinate an AZ WAT. Well, Laura's "suggestions" seem like directions, and before I knew it I called Martina and asked her if she was game. Our goal was 20 walkers. It's three months later and we could see 70 walkers. I really lucked out. Around the time of the WAT announcement, AZ saw a number of very motivated PF members sign up. They are fantastic!

[:I]Ack! I didn't mean it as a directive! I just thought that meeting up even informally at the walk-a-thon would be a grand way to get a chapter rolling! I just wish there were registered members around me so that we could have one around here... Jill, I'm just amazed at how you've just taken to this GC stuff like a duck to water...
