Yes, af came today--bummer[:(] I bought an ovulation kit today--Target brand--it was cheaper than the name brands. They're probably all the same anyway. I also started charting on fertility friend.

I know one month isn't long to be TTC-as you said Gloria. I just fear that it will take awhile like it did last time and that I'll have to go on Clomid again. I was really hoping it would happen the first time and I wouldn't have to stress over it. I just want a normal, natural conception, pregnany, and birth. Is that too much to ask for?

Oh well, here's to next month!

Renee - In the grand scheme of things, it's true that one month isn't long. But, in the moment, it seems like an eternity... It's not too much to ask for a natural conception, pregnancy and birth - it just sucks that it's not always the reality, especially for those of here... But, I won't stop praying that you get your wish!

Hi Renee & Sandy, so sorry that af arrived. I know it is very disappointing. I never dreamed getting pregnant, staying pregnant, being pregnant and giving birth would be so difficult!! I am on day two of my cycle. It's my first cycle after my last miscarriage so in a way I was glad it came because it means my body is getting back on track. Hopefully all three of us will all be getting BFPs in about a month, with Jill following soon after.

Each month is a roller coaster, even though I try not to obsess about it. I am usually very depressed when AF shows, then get excited when I ovulate, then I am a nervous wreck for the next two weeks until I find out I'm pregnant. It's so great to have this forum to vent and to hear success stories!

I agree. It's a roller coaster! We spend so much time trying *not* to be pregnant, and once we decide it's time, shouldn't it be that easy?

This month, I'm taking a much more relaxed approach (even though I'm still charting and using Fertility Friend) and some sort of OPK which is yet to be determined. My ovulation has been all over the place since February, apparently.

So I'm hoping with my more relaxed approach (I plan to not purchase or use one HPT until I am at least 18 DPO with high temps, I plan to not notice any possible pregnancy symptoms, and I've already had the "pep talk" with DH explaning that nothing is worth having that isn't worth working for), maybe this will be the month!

Amen to that Sandy!! I have been off BCP for over a year now just becuase I didn't want to have to take it, plus I knew we wanted another baby, so I didn't bother with it. So, for this year and some months, we've been "TNTC-trying not to conceive". I started taking my temps, but haven't been consistent with it. I forgot it for 2 days and plus I usually get up a few times in the night with Alyssa-so who knows if the temps are really accurate. This am it was 98.0--I thought that was kinda high. I bought an OPK this month-so I'll probably be depending on that more.

Hi Renee & Sandy,

I’m so sorry that af has arrived. I think we are all in the same boat right now. I’m definitely with you on not purchasing anymore HPT. Last month, I bought a package of 3 and I used all of them Although I was 19 DPO, they both came back negative. Then the next day my cycle started. [}:)] I was really depressed. That was our first “official” month of ttc. I was so sure that I was pregnant. I was even beginning to have symptoms. I stopped taking BCP back in April so I guess last month my body was trying to “adjust.” According to my chart, I should ovulate by the end of this week. [:D] I’m really dreading the next few weeks of waiting. If I don’t have much luck this time around, then I will definitely be heading to Target to purchase an ovulation kit!
