Pregnant again!

Hi girls. Well after having what was diagnosed as PE with my dd back in Sept of 01 and spending three months on bedrest. Here I am. Pregnant with number two. I am worried sick that I will again develop PE and be put on bedrest. Which I know will be near death difficult for us... especially with a 2 year old at home. I'm wondering what advice you all have. I'm only 2 months along... just trying to get prepared... !

Congrats!! I know how scary it can be. You are excited, but scared to death at the same time. I didn't get PE with my second, I had my first at 36 weeks. So there is hope[:)]/ Also, I owuld highly recommend seeing a perinatologist soon. These are high risk ob's who deal with these type of situations. It owuld be good to have a consult with one and see what they recommend for you. MAny women here still see there regular ob's and the peri on occasion. Goodluck!! Keep us posted!!

Congratulations! I am due 8/11/04 with our second! I spent about 2 months on bedrest with my daughter and know it is awful. What scares me most this time around isn't that I'll actually get PE or one of its variations, but that my dr's will brush off my concerns...perhaps that is because I felt like that happened at my very first apointment? Who knows. I am a bit scared that it will come back too though it seems to be more of an obsession reguarding that! lol Dh has taken my bp a few times already just to keep track.

Here's to a long and uneventful pg for the both of us!
