Hello!

My name is Bambi and live in Greenville. I have just found this website! I gave birth to a beautiful little girl March 29, 2004 after a couple of weeks of pre-eclampsia. I was diagnosed with pre-e at 35 weeks and was immediately put on bedrest. I was induced at 39 weeks and eventually went in for a c-section. My husband and I are thinking of another child in the somewhat near future. We are both concerned about possibily developing pre-eclampsia again. I'm also interested in a VBAC. If ya'll have any information to give me I would appreciate it. I look forward to getting to know ya'll.

Hi, Bambi! I'm from Charleston, but went to college at Furman! Glad to know there's another SC member out there, although we never like for anyone to have to deal with preeclampsia. My youngest son was born only 3 weeks before your daughter! [:)]

are you currently TTC now?
The frustrating thing about this disease is that its so unpredictable. If you read our siggy's you will see that I got it with my first and did not with my next two! However, my sister got it with her first and then got it again even earlier with her 2nd :( You just dont know....Ithink that the odds are better of not getting it again the close to term you were getting it the first time. But there is still just no way to know. Best of luck to you!

No we are not, but thinking about it. I was telling my husband about seeing a peri first and he suggested I get a few other things checked too. He was just told he needed to start talking Lipitor (only 29 years old) and his father was just diagnosed with prostrate cancer a couple of months ago. Needless to say, he's wanting to make sure there isn't a problem with my blood pressure and cholesteral. So I'm going to make an appointment for that soon. Probably within the next week or so. We talked briefly last night about timing and would like for number 2 to be around the time our daugher came so that gives us this summer to start ttcing. I would also like to get my dh into seeing my ob/gyn. He needs to ask questions too. So the short answer is no not yet. :)
