Wife in Hospital with Pre e

Hi and welcome! I can't add anything more to the great advice you've already been given but, just wanted to let you know that my prayers are with your wife and baby.

One statistic that I've heard quoted often is that the average time from diagnosis to delivery is 2 weeks. With bedrest - some women are able to hold out much longer.

Please let us know what they say tomorrow.

There not going to send her home. Why? Because her water broke at 2 am. at 4:30 am our little Cate was born by emergency c-section 4lbs 12 oz 17 inches long, breathing and sucking on her own. A little short on the breathing. They took xrays and has a little fluid in lungs. Mom is on That Magnesium stuff and feels like she was drugged. Both are sleeping now Mom in her bed and Baby Cate int he ICU. Thanks everyone for the support glad I didnt have to battle the doctor over this. Our little baby fought that battle for us.

Wow!! It was really mean to be[:)] SO glad you didn't have to have the big confrontation and that all is well. Hope Cate is out of NICU soon!!!

WOW Congrats to your family!!!... I was just going to respond to your first post and now look we have a new baby in the world. Glad everything is going well for the both of them. Hope the NICU is a short stay...

CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR NEW BABY! I hope you are all home together soon. I feel for you and for your poor wife, you guys are probably exhausted. The Magnesium does make you feel like you are drugged, I was basically unconscious the entire first day of my son's life, then for two days I felt hungover, not pleasant.I have a love/hate relationship with the Mag., admittedly it probably saved my life and my son's life, but I felt like H#** while I was on it[}:)]. Good Luck with your new bundle of joy![:I]

Oh my goodness, how wonderful. I was scrolling to get to the bottom of the posts to add my encouragement and little Cate beat us all!! How wonderful for you and your wife. Scary, but what a wonderful outcome. I just love stores like this, it helps to hear a success. Congratulations Dad! You did wonderfully, investigating on behalf of your wife, etc. She sould be proud!!

Congratulations to you all. Mag is a definitley no fun, but it does the job! 4lbs. 12oz is awesome! I'm sure you're little Cate is a fighter and she couldn't wait to get here it seems! You're in my thoughts and I'm sure everything will be terrific! Best of luck to you all! I remember the mag took a while to get out of my system and it wasn't too pleasant! Hopefully, things will be back to normal for your wife very shortly!
