Do you have names picked out?

Before I even got preg with Katlyne we had her name all picked out and the same goes for Casey. With Casey it took us months to come up with a middle name but finally we found something that worked and also to give honor to his grandfather. (My older boys have my Dad's name somewhere in their name and didn't want to copy a middle name or anything SO it was time for DH Dad to copy his middle name- at least it wasn't his first name Eugene [:D])

I have a girl name picked out, but it's not final until she's born. We had a different name picked out for Tara, but I changed my mind as soon as she was born. She needed the mightiest name possible! My sister stole my favorite boy name, so we'll have to brainstorm if we get a boy.

No name picked out yet as I'm so incredibly guarded after having had a loss @ 24 wks. I don't think I'll even want to know the sex of the baby until I know the child has a good chance---around 28 wks.

I'm trying to stay as levelheaded as I possibly can which goes against my nature when it comes to this sort of thing. Usually, my mind would be 10 steps ahead with planning & getting excited. But now I've noticed that the more I get excited and attach to the idea of having a baby, the more I pay for it equally with anxiety.

It will be an interesting nine month journey...at least I hope for nine months!

I know how you feel. I refused to buy anything for Casey until after my 25 week. I lost Katlyne at 25 weeks but she had stopped growing at 22 weeks. Each week I make it past the point I go out and get him a little something as I didn't want to have a house filled of things just in case things go wrong.

It's hard to say the least that yes, I'm scared to death but each day I know I have a fighting chance.....

Yep, we've had names picked out for # 2 since we started thinking about # 2 (about 2 weeks after we had our first!) If it's a boy, Holden Cooper, and if it's a girl, Zoe Claire [:)]

I definitly have names picked out after all the debating we went through until we found the name Indigo the last time. If its a boy: Shawn Douglas, if its a girl, Anna Grace(though we may need to find something a little more different for the girl name because we're afraid that the new baby would feel strange at some point because her sister had a really cool "different" name LOL)

I don't think I bought anything for the baby until about 31 wks and even then it was only a pack of onesies and a blankie. I wouldn't even let my friend throw me a baby shower until at least 32wks and even then I was so scared I might have to return all the gifts or something so I didn't remove any tags until the week she was born. Even then I was still very afraid but my practicality got the better of me[:)]

We didn't even get anything for her, i.e. crib and bedroom stuff, basinette and such until 3 days before she was born. Poor dh was up all night cramming to put it all together before the amnio. But all was okay and for the next pg I will probably still have the worries but at least I kind of know what to expect and we don't have to buy as much stuff.

Those of you with losses in the 20wk ranges I have no idea how you hold it together. I would be a complete basketcase, you are so strong to go with what you did and to be able to move on and try again. My four losses were all in the 1st trimester and though they were hard they were no where near the heartache and attachment you must have had. My prayers are with you all every day.

I have names that I like, but will wait until that day comes. My goal is to get past 26 wks and then celebrate once I am home free. I also don't want a baby shower until I am close to delivery, or even after. There are 3 women in my family who are all pg and they are all finding out the sex, and it is their first. I guess because of my experience nine years ago, having a healthy second baby will be a blessing and while it will kill me to not find out, it is the one surprise in life that I don't want to control. I want to dream whether it is a boy or girl and then have a big surprise.

Just thought I would throw my 2 cents in on this one.... We do have names picked out, but they will probably change by the time we have another. William Joseph ("Joe") for a boy (we have liked this name for about 5 years) and Kayla Rae for a girl. I can't get my husband to agree with me on the middle name for Kayla, but I've got plenty of time to talk him into it.[;)] It seems now that Kayla really isn't even up for discussion, I am very set on it. With Megan we had a hard time picking out a girl name. Of course I had known Megan's middle name would be Diane since I was a kid (that's my mom's name). Somehow Kayla just seems right for the next one if it's a girl.[:)]
