Looking for a doctor.

Hi all, I am from the Minneapolis area and am looking for a new doctor. I had my first child seven months ago at 27 weeks gestation. I had PIH and she had IUGR. We are both fine now. I just learned that I am pregnant again and am search of a GREAT doctor - one who knows a lot about preeclampsia. Any suggestions?

Hi,

I am a new member and I have figured out that names of doctors and hospitals cannot be posted on the website. I had a son 16 months ago and had HELLP syndrome. I was seeing a nurse midwife until the diagnosis (and then had my son 2 days later). The whole time I was in the hospital, I was in the care of whoever was on call.

I'm starting the process of thinking about having another child. I feel like I'm starting at square one, since I really didn't have a doctor during my last pregnancy. It's been years since the last post on this thread, so I am wondering who or where to contact about finding doctors in the Twin Cities Metro area that knowledgeable about HELLP syndrome.

I'd try http://www.smfm.org (search by state) to find an MFM near you. I also hope someone local will see your post and email you. :-)
