Im not sure if you have found an Ob yet, but my Ob was amazing, I loved everyone at her office. Shes at Valley Ob/GNYO and also if you need a specialist I also saw drs at PPA (Phoenix Perinatal associates) they were also amazing they also have neonatalist who work with your baby while they are in the NICU.
I was terrified to find out i was pregnant with my second baby. Luckily with the 2nd pregnancy the drs know your history and you know the signs.
I hated the laying on left side, but im not someone who likes to just sit around so being on bedrest wasnt very fun. But its worth it if it helps keep the baby cooking just a little longer.
My Ob was in scottsdale so if you need someone closer to Mesa who will deliver at one of the mesa hospitals please let me know, I have some Aunts who have loved the OB's they see, they didnt have preeclampsia but they got PIH and were close to getting it and the Ob's were great with them.
Congrats on the New Pregnancy and on your Healthy little 5 year old. Im in the Mesa area if you need someone to talk to or to meet to talk to just let me know.
Good Luck

Hi D'Arcy: Here is a link to our 'Ask the experts' board. This covers several questions that many of our members have.
http://www.preeclampsia.org/forum/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=19
There is also a 'Parents of Preemies' board also on our forum you may want to check out. http://www.preeclampsia.org/forum/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=23
I agree that the pe experience and NICU experience are difficult to relate to. I remember meeting mothers who had had a preemie before the birth of my daughter, and I didn't get it.
I read your post on the fundraising board for the e-mail campaign. Loved it! :)

Jill-
Do you ever have a group that meets? Our experience is so different with the nicu experience and having a preemie that I find women that have had full term births don't understand the stress/fear/anxiety.
(EDIT) I just saw the idea about the picnic. That souunds great...
I was told by my doctor that there is a 30% chance of this happening again. Have you seen any stats that would confirm this?

Hi D'Arcy: Thank you for posting! I'm glad you found us. Congratulations on the birth of little Madeline. I also live in Chandler. It's nice to 'meet' you!
As you read more on the PF forum, you'll find that each member is coping with his or her pe experience. For many of us, it has been a life-altering. You are in good company, and you will find a lot of support here.
Many members have concerns of pregnancy after pe. Our Pregnant Again forum may offer a glimpse of what a second pregnany may be like for you.: http://www.preeclampsia.org/forum/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=14

Re : new
Am I the only one that is terrified to get pregnant again?
My daughter was born 30w3d by emergency c-section due to PE.
I need some feedback from women that have gone through it.

Welcome, and sorry you have to be here too!
Yes, I had to lay on my left side for 48 hours in the hospital and gain 20 pounds while we waited for steroid shots to take effect. That side of my stomach has an inch more of extra skin. :-)
I'm easier to reach with email rather than the phone -- I'll try to email something longer once I get a break here in the next week. Subsequent pregnancies are so scary that I haven't tried for one yet myself.

I'm glad you found us! The AZ members have not had a formal meet and greet. Our first and only time of getting together was in May at the Walk-a-Thon. That was the first time many of us met.
I'll e-mail you my phone number, please give me a call so we can talk....
