weight loss buddies - week 3

Sorry so late today, this holiday weekend has me a little confused ;)

Current weight: 203
Goal weight: 160
Short term goal: 198
Height: 5'2"
Strategy: portion control, start to exercise, I'm thinking of trying Carmen Electra's lap dance work out :)

**back up to 203 this week. It was a tough week with lots of yummy food all around! I guess I need to work on eating a little better while I'm at picnincs and bbq's.

Mind if I join? I'm new to the PF community, so I wasn't around when the buddy group got started!

Current weight: 198.5
Goal weight: 150
Short term goal: 175
Height: 5'7"
Strategy: portion control focusing on more whole and fresh foods vs. processed, continue regular exercise but increase intensity.

We're thinking of TTC#2 soon but I'd really like to try to lose about 20 lbs. or so beforehand. I don't really have a food weakness, except to say that food IS my weakness. Probably my biggest challenge is that I have a 'desk-based" career, which doesn't help the ol' metabolism!

Goal Weight: 140
Short Term Goal: 150
Height: 5'6"
Strategy: Started running this week (2x), battled stomach bug, reducing workday/stress snacks, no more seconds at dinner, and increasing exercise. I will do something active everyday.

I too have a mostly desk based job. A few things that I have changed to try and help are: I now park as far as I can away from the door in our parking lot (a little exercise in the morning :) I do not use our elevator anymore either. I go up and down the stairs a efw times a day. It isn't much but it's a start :) If it wasn't so stinkin hot here I would walk our perimeter at lunch time, but I would need a shower afterwards in this weather!

Our office building is actually an old mall that was converted to the corporate headquarters of the company I work for. Just one story, no stairs, but it's a pretty good walk if you go from one end to the other! HR even mapped the perimeter of the building and parking lots to determine distance for the people who like to walk during their breaks.

Hey guys if you don't mind I will join since I am on a strict preop diet to lose weight so that I can lose more weight! I have lost 10 lbs even in 5 days.
Current weight: Yikes can't believe I am even typing this but 245.5
Goal weight: 120
Short term goal: 200
Height: 5'9"
Strategy: strict laid out diet consisitng of 2 (one for breakfast one for lunch) slimfast shakes (actually using wal-marts brand as it tastes good and has fewer calories) and a weight watchers meal for dinner, with unlimited salad greens if I choose in between, a lil sugar free jello or popsicles. Although I am mostly sticking to just the 3 main meals

Wanted to add I gained ALOT of the weight due to severe depression following the loss of my babies and such close births (2004, 2005, 2006, and 2008) not that that's an excuse. prepregnancy I was under 150.
