Harrisburg Walk-A-Thon Update 3/24/06

The walk-a-thon will be at City Island, in Harrisburg, on May 6th, 2006.

Late registration, t-shirt pick up and opening remarks starts at 9:30, official walk starts at 10:00. Free parking at City Island.

We are honored to have Dr. John Repke from Milton S. Hershey Medical Center at Penn State as our guest speaker. Dr. Repke is chair of the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Penn State. He also serves on the Preeclampisa Foundation's medical board. Members will also share their experiences with the Preeclampsia Foundation and their personal loss. The walk will start at City Island, cross over the river and head down to the Governors' mansion, and loop back. Following the walk, the silent auction will take place.


The following items will be up for auction:

Gift Basket from Hershey Company
8 ticket to Senators’ baseball team home game
Signed pennant from the Philadelphia Eagles
Signed merchandize from the Baltimore Ravens
4 tickets to Disney World
Gift basket of Mary Kay products (10 items)
Gift bag from the Lancaster Barn Stormers: children’s t-shirt, adult t-shirt, bobble head, baseball bat, and a few small items.
Two Double Tree hotel rooms in Philadelphia
Hand-made baby blanket, hat and booties
Large hand woven Oriental rug
(2) Gift certificates for 18 holes of golf, including a cart, for four, at Felicita Garden Resorts and Spa
(2) Jar country lamps

Signed football from the Pittsburgh Steelers
Signed puck from the Philladelphia Flyers
Music group "Sublime" signed album
Signed catcher glove from the New York Yankees
Luggage Set
Hershey Bears team signatures poster



We have also reserved discount rooms at the Hilton Hotel, located 2 blocks from the Walk-A-Thon site, for all of you out of town guest. Please see the Discount Room for WAT thread for more information.

How do I get a registation form? I would like to walk if you could send me more information.

Thanks for posting, and sending me an email.

For all members interested in either the Harrisburg or Pottsgrove Walk-a-Thon, either I or Dawn(who is corrdinating the Pottsgrove WAT) can email or mail the registration form.
