ZOO TRIP UPDATE

Ok...just did some searching on their website..

3 and under FREE

We can get group rates if we have at least 15 people but it has to be paid for as one transaction and you have to call and register 2 weeks prior..not sure how complicated this might be...Thoughts?


Hours are 9-6. I am thinking meet at 11am..Would that give everyone enough time to get there?

This all sounds great! 11 am should be fine, we expect it to take about 2 hours for us too. Keep your fingers crossed for good weather.

Also, I agree that meeting at the front gate is a good idea. Should we figure out any additional ways to identify each other? lol--kind of like blind dates....you have to figure out how you're going to know the other person when you see them.

Now the trip can be official....I've got it written down in my calendar. I don't do anything without consulting that! [:)] See everyone soon. I can't wait!

So Sept 10th? Is that the date you wrote down? I am leaning towards that one...

I was wondering the same thing about identifying each other. I guess once we see who all is coming we can maybe swap cell phone numbers..I mean, obviously you and your sister will recognize each other and Cassie and I have seen pics of each other but it's still a little different in person. I could hold up a big piece of posterboard that says SC PF GALS...LOL...Might have to do that seriously..Well mapquest has us estimated at 2hrs 49 mins..It has us taking the toll road. I don't know my way around Columbia at all but dh was just down there the other week so he may know a better way than mapquest. We may be coming the farthest...not sure...

Found out the 17th is best for dh but either way I will be there

Hello ladies, I think that this is a wonderful ideas, I had a horrible experience with preeclampsia, during the birth my son in 1986, which left me with epilepsy, and has changed the whole course of my life. My mother also suffered with preeclampsia with my brother, but she lost the baby, but she had no lasting effects. And because she knew something was wrong with me, she quickly got me to the hospital, where an emergency C-section was performed. Only during this my blood pressure rose to high, damaging a nerve on my brain, which is what started my seizures. I am the mother of 1 special bio son Brian, who will be 19 Sep. 8th. But I am also the stepmother of 3 children. 2 boys Josh 19, Ryan 17, and a stepdaughter Phylicia 13. But to me they are my children, they have been living with me for 11 years now. They were very small children when I married their father, and he had full custody. But to all 4 children we are mom and dad, and around our house things are always busy. I look forward to meeting with all of you. Now I can't promise that any of the kids will come, seeing that they boys have their own cars, and their own lives these days, but they still lives with us. I am sure my daughter will want to come, but I will try and get them to clear their schedules.
