New to WI

I just wanted to say hi. I just moved from Chicago to Kenosha. I have a 20 month old daughter, and developed pre-e with her. It was not detected until my 38 week appt at which time I had am emergency c-section. She was born at 4 1/2 pounds...but is now a healthy, crazy 20 month old :)

It was such a scary experience...the last 2 weeks of my pg...I wa sin so much pain, and the Drs kept telling me it was "normal". I had 2 weeks of unbearable pain before they finally diagnosed it.

Now, I am so scared to go through it again. I would really like to give my daughter a sibling, but I am so scared to get pg again.

I know I would want to go to a specialist before TTC. Does anyone know of one in the area? I guess that is a good place to start.

Hi Anne,

I'm up in Milwaukee. If you want recommendations on specialists, members of this board will likely share them with you via personal email since PF can't endorse physicians. I personally don't know of any specialists in Kenosha area, but I wanted to welcome you to our WI gang. This is a great group of mommies.

I can also completely related to how you feel. Hang in there. Some women have successful PE free pregnancies the 2nd time around.

Welcome to our club! I too moved from Chicago, but to Madison a little over a year ago! I have a GREAT peri in Madsison...not sure if you want to come that far, and I'm sure there are great ones elsewhere. We have a couple of gals in Milwaukee which is probably much closer to you. Our DD will be a year old on SSDaturday and we are getting that that stage about thinking ttc again...not for another year, but it's something we will have to plan in advance for etc. Sounds like you're little one had some pretty mean IUGR. A little squirt for 38 weeks! Hope to chat with you more! Kara
