I have wanted to signup for facebook but I have to admit that I really don't understand WHY I should signup??? Is it like myspace?

I'm also confused about twitter too!
Can anyone help me understand what facebook does?

Amanda, it's like MySpace or LiveJournal, only a different sort of platform. Since I have used it for 12 hours I will beg off on explaining further though...

Learning FB. Not sure if I like it b/c it show too much about my friend's friends. As if I need to know about my friend,s friend's gyno appt.

You can customize how much you see. Depending on where it's showing up, you can do it in your feed (click options to the right of the info) or in your settings.

I tried Myspace and hated that one - too much to do and too "young". This works for me. I'm thinking of trying to work with Twitter too, but haven't figured that out yet.
