I don't know of any connection between a past eating disorder and later preeclampsia (particularly early), and actually wouldn't expect there to be given the different pathogeneses of the two disorders.
Hi. I was wondering if there is any possible conection to past eating disorders and the development of pre-e in pregnancy... or the development of earlier onset pre-e. I developed pre-e at 29 weeks... i made it till 35 weeks before my doctors decied to induce due to CNS involvement. I was 24 during my pregnancy. I suffered from anorexia purging type from the age of 15-21. 2 other women I know who also suffered from eating disorders of similar type who also developed pre-e in their pregnancies before 31 weeks. Could there be a connection? I was wondering if maybe possible damage done to the body during the eating disorder contributed. Thank you.
