Hi, I am new to this webiste. I am very excited to find somewhere that allows others the share and express their concerns, feelings and stories.

I live in Portland and was diagnosed with HELLP at 31.5 weeks. By that time is was so severe that my daughter had to be born within 2days for fear of losing me. There are so many twists and turns to this pregancy that I wouldn't know where to begin.

My fist pregnancy was smooth. Althought my son was born 4 weeks early. He weighed 6.6 lbs & 21.5 inches long. He was a happy healthy little guy! So when I got pregnant again I didn't think to look at some obvious signs that something was wrong!

I'm in Portland too...spent the afternoon being monitored in the hospital due to elevated bp and protein in a 24 hr catch. I was hoping for a waterbirth with a local midwifery birth center but it doesn't look like that will happen. sigh.
