New Yorker: The Preeclampsia Puzzle
Re : New Yorker: The Preeclampsia Puzzle
My mother-in-law and sister-in-law both are smokers who cut back but couldn't manage to quit during pregnancy and they both had mild PE. I think I'll pass on taking up smoking though!
Re : New Yorker: The Preeclampsia Puzzle
Confession time!
My first two pregnancies I drastically reduced my smoking, both I had PE, the last two I was bad bad bad and smoked nearly my usual, no PE....

Wow! Very promising! Does this mean I could take up smoking during pregnancy to counteract the possiblity of developing pre-e??[:o)] I have a feeling the peri would be extraordinarily unimpressed with that idea [:I]

I may have to re read it to completely understand it...but hopefully something can be done for us here someday...it is so frustrating that this disease has been with us since antiquity and we still cannot understand it.
