I am. I had just completed my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy when I became pregnant with Ansley, with 2 previous miscarriages dh and I decided I would just stay home a while instead of looking for a job, I had a difficult pregnancy from the get go with intermittent bedrest for uterine irritability, and then at 29 weeks I got diagnosed with PE. It just seemed like a blessing that I had not started a job. Since Ansley was a preemie, dh and I didn't want her in daycare so i have continued to stay home, and I love it, it is amazing and I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Count me it to. I had my last day of work the day before dd#1 was born. I couldn't be happier with my decision - it is the best thing for our family. We have made our life work for us, we cut corners where we can, but it is all worth it.

Me too...since 99!! (I have worked prn in between, but not right now) Best, hardest most rewarding job in the world!!:) Wouldn't change a thing[:D]

Me too, for right now. I've been home since Phoenix was born, my nonprofit job wasn't covering daycare and gas to work. Now, I keep busy with the kiddos and work from home PT as a travel agent for Disney destinations. It helps put money in the pot for our vacations. ;)

I'm looking to go back to work FT this year however.

I am proud to say I am a SAHM. I have been home since 23 weeks pregnant with Tommy. I "retired" from the Radiology business.

I'm a SAHM also. I was downsized when my chemical plant shut down two units; morning sickness had just started for me so it was good timing!

I'm a sahm too. Worked as a nNNY ( LIVE OUT) After qutiting my teaching job, pre school. My last day of work was he same day I entered the hospital wit h Moe..
COuldn't get off the couch afte rhe died, got pregnant like a year and change later an here I am home with my daughter!! I will eventually go back to teaching or something when she goes to school full time..

I am a SAHM and love every crazy minute of it :) My last day of work was in 2007 when I was only 22 weeks pregnant with #1 and put on complete bedrest. I tried going to grad school to get my Master's but I only lasted 2 days and quit...DS was only a few months old at the time and I couldn't imagine being away from him if I didn't have to. It turned out to be a good decision with all the therapy and doctor appointments that DS needed I have no idea how I would have worked or gone to school! I have always wanted to be a SAHM and I feel so blessed that I have the opportunity to do so! I don't think I will ever go back to work or school!

I am a SAHM, but didn't really *plan* on it being this way, but I do love it! I was laid off from my office manager position (company based out of another city and they closed the regional Houston office) about 3 weeks before I had my first son. That was 4 years ago :-) I had my second and last boy/child last August. I also keep my 5 year old niece and they keep me BUSY! But I do love it. I don't know how women go back to work at the 6 week mark. I know we all do what we have to do. It has not been easy for us financially, but the costs of daycare here in Houston is ridiculous. I too feel extremely blessed and would sacrifice a lot of things to be able to be at home with them. I do sacrifice and cut corners where I can to be able to be with them. I LOVE IT!
