Car Seat Question
Re : Car Seat Question
Yes - like Heather said it's both 12 months *AND* 20 lbs. My first 2 weren't 20 lbs until almost 18 months and my 3rd finally hit 20 lbs around 21 months. But she's 2 1/2 and is still rear facing (in a convertible seat now) because it's safer to remain rear facing. She's 24 lbs now & we could switch her - we just haven't yet.
Re : Car Seat Question
Yeah, it's both in this case and not either or as far as weight/age, so he needs to be 12 months *and* at least 20 pounds. I think, if I remember correctly, that they are actually recommending 24 months now instead of 12 but I think legally it's still 12 (and you can use a rear facing convertible seat if the infant seat is getting tight for him. The convertible we have can be used for 5-60 pounds both rear and forward facing. HTH!
