It is scary. I was just thinking that at this time last year I was sooooo sick and didn't know it - by the end of this week last year I was in the hospital and the all the rest of my story. :-(

It sounds like your doc is great and you are doing really well! I like your doc's sense of humor. Hope that helps you too.

Congrats on the baby girl! I am so excited for you!

You know your pg timing with Kylie reminds me of mine with Sienna. I started getting sick around 22 wks but I quickly got Hellp right after. I go in for my 20 wks measurements next Monday. I am excited to see her and to have them check the cord, placenta, etc.

Wouldn't it be something if after all this drama, we end up making it to 36 wks?!

Well I am glad everything is going well- I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

18w6d Ultrasound/Appointment

Postby brianned5 » Tue May 26, 2009 10:00 am

I went on Thursday for an ultrasound and appointment. The baby looks good and is weighing in at around 9 ounces. It took half an hour before the technician got the baby to cooperate and she said there are three folds of skin, so looks like another baby girl. I couldn't make that out with Kylie or this baby. Her name is Kyndall Hope Helton. The blood flow to her umbilical cord looks good. She had both feet straight in the air wiggling them around. It was adorable. Her hearbeat was 154 BPM. I go on the 18th for another ultrasound where they will thoroughly check the placenta. I will be 22w6d pregnant and at that time I was already quite sick with Kylie. The doctor told me a lot of times the placenta shows the first signs of trouble, so I'm glad they will check it out. The doctor said he has never had a woman on the medications I'm on deliver until 4 weeks after she did the first time, which would put me at 29 weeks, and a lot make it full term. He said I'm not allowed to ruin his record, and he said this time the only hellp I'm going to get is from him. So, he is highly optimistic. I go the 5th for another appointment so I'll be 21 weeks and was already getting sick at that time with Kylie. We're very scared but also optimistic. We're getting wonderful care.
