SCREAMING during bath time!!!!!!!

Ok-------I just don't get it. Gage does NOT like taking a bath-----a sponge bath but ESPECIALLY not a baby tub bath. The water is NOT too hot or too cold, I hold him and talk to him------NOTHING WORKS. He cries HYSTERICALLY. Now, he does a LITTLE better during a sponge bath, but not much. Why does he scream?!?!? Anna LOVED baths. he also hates diaper changes and getting his clothes changed. Btw: The bathroom is almost HOT b/c I warm it up for him b/f hand.........

So sorry, Ezekiel did the same thing. He eventually grew out of it. I have some great pictures of my wet, naked, screaming baby.

my son was the same way, it was like torture, thankfully he outgrew it, by about a year old he was a splashy happy kid.......I think it had to do with so much stimulation of that skin all at once..clothes off, naked to air, then immersed in water....we were only bathing him 2x a week tops!

Sheesh. It's not fun. We bathe him every 3 days like the NICU did...unless he's unusually dirty. I change his clothes every day to every other-----but some days 4 times if he spits up and I don't catch it all with the bib. He is such a boy!!!!!!! Prefers to stay dirty I guess.....

Aylah was the same too, so I started taking a bath with her in our tub instead. Noe, she loves it! But, it requires two people, one to hold in the bath, the other to lean over & wash!

Alison also screams when she gets her diaper or clothes changed. She screamed at bath time for awhile too, but just over the last week, that has changed and now she seems to enjoy baths. Maybe he'll start to enjoy it more over time?!

When I brought Bennett home, we followed the NICU's lead and bathed him wrapped in a thin towel. That way most of his skin isn't exposed to the air. It helped him until he got a bit older. Now he enjoys his baths.

My twins were the same way. I hated baths! They did outgrow it.

Samar hates them.... but suddenly in the last two days he fusses a bit and smile at me and submits. So maybe there is hope EVENTUALLY???
