2008 San Diego WAT

The San Diego 2008 WAT is on!!! Alicia Magdaleno and myself are coordinating the walk this year. We are doing great with sponsors, but are still in a position to accept more and sponsor benefits will be guaranteed until March 30th. If you would like information on walking, donating, volunteering, need PF brochures, walk flies or registration brochures, or have a general question, please feel free to contact either one of us.

WHAT: 4K Walk-a-Thon to raise awareness of Preeclampsia & funds for the Preeclampsia Foundation

WHEN: Saturday, May 10, 2008
Registration/Check-in begins at 8:00 a.m., Walk begins at 9:00 a.m.

WHERE: Lake Miramar
10710 Scripps Lake Drive, San Diego, CA

REGISTRATION: On-line registration is available at www.preeclampsia.org beginning March 15th.

INFORMATION: Adult registration is $15, but after April 26th is $20.00. Child may walk for free, but need to register for liability reasons.

Registration is also available at the walk on May 10th, although t-shirts are guaranteed on this day.

I just loss my daughter to severe PE 3 weeks ago. She was stillborn at 21 weeks. My family and I have decided to fly down from Seattle to do the walk in SD and would love to register, get info on getting doinations, etc. Can you let me know what to do to get started and if there is anything else I can do (from Seattle). Thanks!

I am sorry to hear about the loss of your daughter. The walk registration site should be available by Sunday, March 23rd. If you would like to email me your email address, I can send you a walk brochure and flyer. You can collect pledges to be donated towards your personal walk, which you can turn in on the day of the walk. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask. Including any info about San Diego, if you are not familiar with the area. Thank you for contacting me and I look forward to meeting you on the day of the walk.

I emailed you so you can send me that stuff. Thanks so much. I am so happy for you that you are Preg again. How is your treatment going? Are you on Heprin too or just the asprin? We are meeting with MFM in two weeks to discuss an action plan and I have already been told that will probably be Asprin and Heprin.

Unfortunately the walk registration page is still not up! We are hoping it gets functioning soon, as we have several people waiting to sign up.
