Some other things that helped me were-
-pumping right after kangaroo care
- taking a hot shower before pumping
-pumping after a nap
- reading a magazine or talking on the phone while pumping (the time will go by faster and you will not be focused on the milk coming out)
- being proud of what you get and not feeling guilty about what you are not getting (pumping is soooooo hard and you should feel so proud of each ounce your baby gets!).
My LC told me not to focus on the amount you get at each pump, but to track the amount over a 24 hour person. The increases are small and it is easier to see an ounce or 2 every few days.
