Hello to all! My name is Amanda and I recently had a baby boy at 31 weeks after going through HELLP Syndrome. I live in Longmont and am wondering if there are any other pre-e/HELLP Syndrome survivors nearby? It would be great to share experiences with someone local.

Congrats on your new peanut!! Though I am sorry to hear that you too have experienced HELLP. I can relate.
I may not be in the Longmont area, but I'm always here and willing to chat anytime.
A couple of us are in the beginning stages of organizing a walk. As those detail become available, we'll be sure to share so that perhaps you could come and join us!

Hi Amanda! I am Misty and had my son at 29 weeks due to eclampsia. I also had HELLP. I am at Fort Carson. I am new to the area and not sure where Longmont is but would love to chat with you!

Hi. I live in the mountains west of Boulder and had severe PET 42 weeks in my first pregnancy.
I am 21 weeks in my 2nd pregnancy and just had a diagnoses of 140/90 BP, +1 protein and "brisk" reflexes". I am in shock and will see an OBGYN tomorrow. I am from Europe, where PET is treated differently, so I would be interested what to expect or any personal experiences. Thanks.

Is your OBGYN in boulder? you can email me if you'd like. I don't think I can discuss certain doctors or practices on the boards, but I could if we talk by email. As far as what to expect, I think each doctor and practice is very different from one another around here. I would think they would also want to do a 24 hour urine, it is a more accurate reflection, as far as how the kidneys are doing. How are you feeling otherwise? There are a couple of mfms that come to boulder once a week that your obgyn can refer you to, with your history that might be a good idea. Also in Denver there are some good mfms.
