no trouble conceiving before HELLP, but trouble after...?

Hi Everyone,

We conceived our baby with no problems, however we lost him to HELLP syndrome. So now it has been 7 months since, and we are looking to TTC again, and we are having some issues. It has been 8 months since we lost our little one. At 5 months after we started having unprotected sex again, and then at 6 months we started really charting and TTC. We everything was normal until this past cycle, my period of 11 days late (that never happens to me EVER), but when I took the pregnancy tests they all came up negative. So now, I am wondering if we are going to be having trouble coneiving this time around due to all that happened?

Hello! I'm very sorry for your loss, HELLP is such a devestating disease. I didn't encounter any issues ttc after HELLP but it was 14 months after the fact, it took two weeks and my family is known to be 'fertile murtles'. I read a book called 'Taking Charge of Your Fertility' before we concieved dd#1. Sounds like your already familiar w charting. Hmm...but I recall reading something like it's not a problem til you've been ttc for a year plus w no results. Best of luck to you ttc and have fun! Maybe others will have better feedback! Hi! I am so sorry for your loss, I hope you are healing from the emotional standpoint to the extent to which it is possible.

Didi you have a trombophilia panel run by a Maternal fetal specialist? Some mutations or autoimmune condition can lead to very early miscarriages or even difficulty concieving. It is not a very common problem but not that uncommon, so as you had Hellp before I would ask (I had hellp during my first pregnancy and was diagnosed with borderline lupus anticoagulant antibodies...a clotting disorder. Anticoagulants then work very well for me during this second pregnancy)

We concieved our son on the first try (he died of NEC). But now we've been TTC for 5 months and no luck whatsoever. I really hope that HELLP didn't do something to my body to make it hard to TTC. :~(
