Autopsy

My daughter passed away in January right after she was born fullterm. I had help syndrome. They asked us If we wanted an autopsy an we said yes. And we live in north dakota. The autopsy isn't complete yet. And I was wondering should we be expecting a large surprise bill in the mail? Or will it be covered? And how much do they usually cost?

I never requested an autopsy for my son, but I did find this site that says most hospitals done charge for an autopsy for a baby.

I also found that an adult autopsy can be anywhere from $2000-$6000.
