No postpartum period yet.

Hi ladies. I lost my baby January 30th. And I still don't have a period. I've taken about 7 pregnancy tests, all negative. I was just wondering could having HELLP delayed my period even more?

I did not get my first period until almost 4 months postpartum (I took quite a few tests as well). I went back to the doctor twice to check on everything and both times all of my labs came back clear. I guess it just took me that long to start ovulating again or something. Anyways... when AF did come back, oh boy did it come back full force. I had to use those postpartum pads along with bed pads because it was like a fountain. The next few AFs were pretty normal and uneventful. I don't think HELLP has anything to do with it, but you could always ask your doctor.

Thanks. I'm going to the doctor on the 13th for it. Hopefully she can run some tests or something just to make sure things are normal.

I went to the dr. and she prescribed me provera to induce it. And now I'm not cd 14. I'm hoping to ovulate soon to know that i'm going back to normal. I just really want a normal period!

I doubt that HELLP had much to do with it, pregnancy in general often messes with many women's cycles. Your doctor should be able to prescribe you progesterone to get it jumpstarted.

Well my dr. did prescibe me progestrone. That's what the provera it. But that still isn't a true period. That's an induced period with artifcial hormones. Once I have a period with nothing I'll be ok.

Well the provera worked and induced my period. And now I've been spotting for the past 6 days on my own. I wish I would just start! I had another dr. appointment for it. And she did a lot more blood work and I got a pelvic ultrasound. I hope everything comes back ok. Or I get some answers.
