Hello to everyone,

I am 25yrs old and have lost two babies due to this disease. I am trying to be strong and not give up hope but it is so hard. My last was my baby girl Ky'Mani. I was due in two weeks when tragedy happened. My whole pregnancy everything was fine. One day out of the blue i got a really bad headache like i never felt before and was rushed to the hospital where they told me they could not hear her heart beat. I don't know what to do anymore. I don't want to give up but i don't think i can go through this again, it hurts so bad, and i know i would be stressed the whole time. Any suggestions, i would really appreciate them. Me and my husband wants to try again but i am scared. I don't want him to suffer because i'm afraid. Well hope to hear from you all soon.

Thanks

I'm so sorry for your loss. We lost our son due to HELLP and are trying a second time, but I am worried. Did you work with a perinatologist for your second pregnancy? Was your doctor watching more closely?
Our first son was born and passed in Feb of 2010. Born at 29 weeks due to HELLP and passed due to NEC. We miss him every day. :~(

Our second son was born at 39 weeks gestation in Nov of 2011. No HELLP or pre-e! Took LDA starting at week 12 and went off of it at week 38!

I'm so sorry for your loss. I am also 25 and my husband and I lost our firstborn last October. We are just getting into our second pregnancy and I am also really scared. I want to know the same as Jean, have you seen any specialists? Have you been tested for any pre-existing conditions? I can't say anything really other than how very sorry I am for all that you have been through and that I know you will find some great support in these wonderful women on the PE forums.

Kidaboo- I lost a baby girl due to preeclampsia a year ago and it is the worst pain, the worst loss ever. I'm so sorry you had to experience that too (twice!) Before you try again I would definitely make a consultation appointment with a Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist/Perinatologist if you possibly can. And spend some time on this website researching and getting all your questions answered. That may help you feel slightly less stressed going into a next pregnancy. And when the loss of your Ky'mani gets to be too much- we're here for support too.
