So I had to deal with Pre E and HELLP, along with Eclampsia almost 3 years ago. (Still very clear in my mind!!) and now my poor sister is bed ridden in the hospital at 35 weeks+ a few days. She has been dealing with kiddney stones since the begining of her pregnancy and has been passing them every now and then. She went to the dr about a bad rash that she has on her stomach and when the checked her urine there was protein. Not sure what is up with the rash or if it is even related to Pre E, but they have been doing 24 hour urin tests and all have protein so far. The OB (same practice as mine) want to keep her in the hospital until the baby is born. The MFM thinks the are over monitoring and that she should go home! I know she hates being there, but I keep telling her it is really for the best. I had no symptoms before my delivery and went downhill very quickly once being admitted to the hospital. I think that may be why the are being so cautious with her, seeing as we have the same doctor! They know all about me, lol!!

Oh well, just wanted to get this post out there. I am concerned and she doesn't want me putting anything on FB! (understandably)

Hoping she doesn't need to join our group, but know you will all be there for her if she does :)

Wow, she is having almost an identical expierance as I did. She was taken in for a c-section this morning! Still waiting to hear how everything went. Hopefully she is done following in my footsteps!

I am glad your sister stayed in the hospital! Good to hear that both are doing well. Congratulations to your sister.

I am so glad your sister and baby are doing good. It's good that they kept her in the hospital.

Both are still in the hospital. My sister keeps getting some flucuating labs and last night her BP spiked to 180/100. Overall she is feeling well, just waiting for her body to get out of pregnant mode! Baby, Valerie, is doing very well! She is still in the NICU, not hooked up to anyting except a heart monitor. She just started being able to make it through a feeding without it going off! :)

It is very scary how similar all of this is to what happened to me! We go to the same OB/BYN practice and I am sure that I made an impression on them! She is in good hands, so hopefully she will not continue in my footsteps!
