As for you being crazy: no. Of course it would be easier for someone else to be responsible, and it feels like we're responsible for quite enough already. But ethically no one else can make this decision for you.
You've got to weigh the risks and benefits as you see them, and make a decision. If your doc said "Go for it!" and you had an event-free pregnancy, you'd love your doc... and if your doc said "Go for it!" and you lost your baby to a silent abruption while in the hospital being monitored at 25 weeks...
One thing that's worth considering: the risk to *you* is less than the risk you run driving to the grocery store. The risk to the baby is more varied.
