? about miscarriage at 7 weeks

Thanks for your advice. I was feeling a bit silly for even thinking of going in when it appears that I'm going to miscarry. At least I know other moms think like me.

Amanda, that was a long time to be spotting,it must have been very hard for you.

I would keep the appt also. I spotted pink from weeks 7-12 and everything was fine.

I wouldn't cancel. Can you go in and have them do a quick u/s? Many, many woman spot during pregnancy for lots of reasons & go on to have healthy pregnancies. I would call on Monday & let them know what's going on. I had really bad cramping with my 2nd & 3rd pregnancies around 6-7 weeks & they did an u/s both times to make sure it wasn't ectopic.

I've started having pink spotting when I have to use the bathroom so I am pretty sure I am miscarrying. I also went from feeling slightly sick in the morning to feeling perfectly fine which confirms my suspicion that I'm miscarrying.

My question is should I just cancel my appointment with my MFM (it was supposed to be my first pre-natal visit)? I'm guessing that at 7 weeks I can miscarry without any problems and that I won't need a D&C. I don't have a regular OB that I could go to because after my last delivery I said I'd never go back to that OB again.

Also, how long could it take to miscarry at this stage? I miscarried at 14 weeks a few years ago and it took three weeks from the time the ultrasound showed the baby had died until I started bleeding(I was induced the next day).
