Just one of those days

Postby flori » Tue Aug 16, 2011 06:59 am

I realized today during the middle of my shift at work at it's been 5 months since Gracie was here.

Soon she'll have been gone as long as she was here. It's amazing how she was able to make me fall in love and then break my heart all at the same time. And how unfair that I only got 25 weeks and 1 day with the greatest thing I'd ever done.

I miss her and I miss what should have been.

yesterday was one of those days for me too. you do fall in love in an instant don't you. It was like having my dreams come true only to have them ripped away again. Saying it's not fair doesn't even begin to cover the enormity of the lifetime of loss for us and for our little ones.

I'm thinking of you. I feel like there are just days when you really think about the loss and especially when they are "anniversaries" so to speak. I hope today is a better day for you.

Thanks, ladies. I don't know why I keep having those down days. Some days I get by just fine, a little blue but not overly depressed. Then there are the days where I'll lay in bed and sob and sob. *sigh*

The low days are hard. I lost my daughter around the same time. I think about her several times every day. Some days are OK and other days are a horrible mess. I don't think the sadness and loss ever go away, but the low days do space themselves further apart. Go easy on yourself.
