In your shoes I would push for some repeat labs today- your symptoms are already concerning, and when you throw in nasueau & vomiting it scares me. Yes it could be a simple stomach bug but how can you know for sure without some bloodwork to rule out HELLP syndrome?

Thats what they said.. Maybe a bug.. But if I had a bug I'd have a temp at least, diahorrea maybe even stomach cramps, which I have none of. She put the blurry vision down to the fact I had been sick, but I had the blurring for 2/3hrs before I was sick. I see my community midwife in 2 days, im hoping she will run some labs because my LFTs were perfectly normal 3 weeks prior to the ones they done at MAU (my harmatologist ran those labs as part of keeping an eye on my ITP). The only consistent symptom I've got is the visual disturbances, I have them everyday whereas everything else seems to come and go. I will ask my midwife about the labs though and hopefully get some investigations

I know I use the right size as I measured accordingly, whether they do or not who knows ?

Also, what is the little dial for on a bp machine ? A hospital one I mean.. I remember the mw fiddling with it before taking my pressure the last time I was seen.. It looked to me to be changing the MAP ??

The MAP is the mean arterial pressure it is the average blood pressure in an individual at one reading. Not sure what the nob is for, did they hook you up and set it to take more than once. There are many different machines that read B/P so it would be had to know.
I would worry about the Nausea and Vomiting. I hope you can hang in there a little longer and have a healthy Baby!

Hey. Thanks girls!

Well my bp is still all over the shop, much the same symptoms etc but no more protein in urine, which can only be a good sign! But..

I'm gonna try my best to explain this but I'm not very good with words so here goes!

I have a pain/fullness in my chest, it's located from the bottom of my throat to just under my boobs, it seems to be centered there. At first I thought it was indigestion but I hadn't eaten for a while, then I thought heartburn as it does feel a bit burny but it's not like any heartburn I've felt before, then I thought maybe acid reflux, again because of the burny feeling but here's the thing.. I was eating Rennies like they were sweeties, I had 5 in about an hr and they didn't do a single thing, milk - nope and Gaviscon actually made it momentarily worse! It's making me feel nauseas and has been constant for 2 days now.. It's not a severe pain or anything it's just there and annoying, it feels like something is lodged in my chest!

To Add: It gets worse as I eat or drink

Any ideas what this is??

They are re-running my LFTs this week (they didnt tell me this, read it in notes) and scan anf consultant on Fri.. Hopefully I'll just get to have her before this turns nasty, if there is something not right anyway.

I am no doc, but this sounds a lot like the epigastric pain that some describe who had HELLP. Have you mentioned this to your health care providers? If I were you, I'd consider going to L&D and/or call at least and let the on-call doc decide whether you need to be seen.

How are you doing today? The itching is not a a good sign and is often a symptom of HELLP/liver failure. Please don't wait until Friday to be seen!!
