Kindergarten

Well my little preemie boy started kindergarten last Monday and I missed him all day. He's done 2 years of preschool half day's 5 day's a week and I was fine but now he's gone all day and I'm lost without him. Give me another week and I'll get use to it real fast ha, ha.

Oh and by the way Shane started school last monday and came home friday with a cold, it's starting already.

Oh my goodness! I can't believe he is in kindy already. Is he enjoying it so far? It must be a bug change to have him gone all day. They grow up fast.

Oh he likes it but he's tired. He's not use to getting up early, you'd think he'd learn and go to bed early. I think the only concern I have is he's only 4 so he's one of the younger one's in class.

My son also started Kindergarten at 4, and was the youngest in the class. He did fine and continued well all through his school years; went on and got a college degree. I hear from alot of parents that you shouldn't put your child in at 4, especially a boy, but my feeling was[is], try it, you can always pull out if necessary. And, yes, even my older kids were always tired at the beginning of the school year; after all those late nights in the summer! HA HA, I was tired, too! I think he will love it once he gets into the routine. Glad he is doing well and enjoy your free time!!!

Cograts on such a big milestone!! My oldest started Kinder this year but she'll be 6 in November. You can't start at 4 here, the cut off is Sept. 1 so she had to wait. And it's only half day (barely 2 1/2 hours so it's less time per week than she's been doing at a 3 day a week MDO, Pre-K program) but she already missed a day of school after coming home on a Thursday with a 102.8 fever. She then passed the cold onto both her little sisters - ugh!

Glad he's enjoying it - have fun with your new found free time!! :)

The cut off here is Dec. 31st so Shane make's it with his b-day being in Nov.who'll be turning 5. Kindergarten here is 5 full day's a week.
