Fundraiser

Postby hols537 » Mon May 07, 2012 05:53 am

I wanted to hold a fundraiser to raise money to donate. Do I need any special permission or is it OK to go ahead to do this? Since I'm a Stella & Dot representative, I would like to hold a "virtual trunk show" and donate my profits to the Preeclampsia Foundation in honor of Preeclampsia Awareness Month. Any input would be great as I was hoping to kick this off within the next few days to make the most of Awareness Month. Thanks!

Thanks for asking and thank you for thinking of the PF in your fundraising efforts!! I'm checking to see what the current policy is, we will get back to you very soon!

Thank you. I guess the main thing is that I would be telling people that I'm raising this money to donate to the Preeclampsia Foundation, so I won't need any active support but the OK to use the name :D

We greatly appreciate your fundraising efforts. Thanks so much!! As long as your buyers realize they won't be getting a tax deductible receipt (unless they're writing a check TO the Preeclampsia Foundation), there's really nothing else that raises any concerns here.
