Inpatient whammy

Much to my surprise I find myself inpatient after an nst gone wrong- party for high bp... but mostly for ctx! So after 12 hours ctx finally slowed down... bp back down... but still a stay until at least Sunday... wanting to do 24hr and redo my 3hr gtt since our afi jumped way back up in the poly range again and were spilling glucose.

Baby looks great and while I know 35 weeks is substantial the thought of having another baby in June the month my daughter was born and passed (27th) makes my heart hurt... as does spending my first night away from my son... Im very anxious for them to arrive tomorrow (I'm an island away from them).

Please please think July baby thoughts for us as weve been told should labor pick back up it won't be stopped. Thanks in advance.

Sorry to hear you are in the hospital, but thinking of you and hoping things calm down enough to get you closer to your original due date.

Thank you mommas! I completely bombed the 3hr gtt, which I passed at 32 weeks. I guess bombed it pretty bad too. Contractions had slowed, but now I guess not wanting to be outdone by my blood sugar, are back. BP labile, which is our normal. Here's hoping I at least pass one test, our 24 hour!

I know we're in the best place we can be, and 35 weeks + rocks, at the same time, I'm feeling very defeated that I couldn't get one pregnancy right.

You did NOTHING WRONG. It's not something we can get right with willpower and work! In humans, the lifetime maternal mortality rate in the absence of medical care is one in seven. Pregnancy is something that breaks *all the time*. It's riskier to have a baby in Afghanistan right now than to be a soldier.

You are doing a wonderful job of being a mother to that little one.

Please keep us posted as you're able.

I might be discharged today, though at this point I'm fine if they want to keep me. I'm now scared of eating and since I won't be traveling home we'll be staying at a hotel until delivery and I have no idea how (though where there's a will there's a way!) I'll keep to our new strict diet- with baby already measuring big (6lbs) I want to keep to the diet very strictly.

On the positive side, you are definitely having at least a July baby now! Congratulations on the milestone and my prayers are for you to make it to your 37 week goal, hang in there! Lauren

Just to be clear, when I write "at least a July baby" I mean you could go into August, pregnancies can be so surprising as we all know!

Lauren- Thank you! July is all we ask for- August and baby would be late! I think our plan is still the same to induce next week at 37 weeks... Just being in July is awesome- our first baby born in the month it's due! It's too cool. Still would have been awesome to know what it's like to wait around wondering when baby is going to pop out, but at this point I'm at peace letting that go.

So far we're holding steady at our home away from home since traveling back to our actual house was not an option. Ctx still about 4-7/hr and BP it's normal annoying self. Still trying to figure out how to manage the GD, I'm hopeful tomorrow they'll fit me in to meet with a dietitian again who can just make a meal plan for me and crossing all crossables that once baby pops out everything returns to normal.
