I'm hoping you have your baby safe in your arms or in the NICU right now!

Just thought I'd put in my thoughts on the medicine. Definitely ask your doctor because you are concerned, but if they gave you antibiotics I think it's fine. Remember I'm not a doc, but I was just thinking that lots of women get antibiotics while they are in labor to protect their babies from group b strep. They usually test you for it in week 37 I think, and in my hospital they gave the antibiotics just in case if they didn't know if you had group b or not.

Hoping to hear a good and safe outcome for you and baby, please come back and ask questions. Everything in the hospital can be so confusing and sometimes it helps to get information afterwards to understand what happened.

Idk they said the protein went down but with my blood tests my liver was just getting worse each day when I did daily blood tests. The pain in the upper abdomen was bad it was constantly there and when my stomach tightened i could barely breath and if you touch it it hurts me like *. I don't know what kind it was first it was through an IV for every six hours for a day and half. Than orally for the next day. They started at 11am yesterday I got my first shot of the gel my doctor game back at 8:30 checked my cervix and I was only 2 cm dilated and gave me another shot. She should becoming pretty soon here to check up on me. The nurse told me if I was dilated enough shed break my water this morning. I'm trying to keep clam and all but I'm scared. And I most certainly don't wanna leave this hospital with out my baby boy, I know he'll have to go to the NICU. But I asked what was his estimated weight from my ultrasound a few days ago and they said 6 pounds.

I'm no doc but it sounds like there was some confusion in your treatment. It sounds like they have it sorted out now? How much protein did they find in the 24-hour collection? What medication did they give you - the antibiotic?

Most important, how is the pain you mentioned before? As Alviarin and Sam10/Julija said, pain on your right side under your right ribs can be a sign of HELLP, a fast-moving, severe form of PE. Are you starting the induction now?

So 8 hours ago I got told I never had an UTI after they did a test straight from the bladder. Boy I was mad. Now my question is all that medication they gave me in the last 2 days gonna affect my baby in anyway?
