On Monday July 30th at 5:44pm Julia Faith entered this world at 26 weeks 2 days weighing 1 pound 3 ounces and 10 inches long. Julia had to be taken after a bad NST and doppler reading showing that the cord flow was reversed and she was no longer getting what she needed to be able to grow. Julia is in the NICU, doing ok every day, she's been stable...but we know we have a really long road ahead of us. We are praying every day that we'll bring our baby home.
Mom to Annabelle born at 26 weeks due to HELLP (2008) I found out I had Factor V and MTHFR after delivery.

Oh my goodness, while I'm so glad she is doing well, I'm so sorry for the stress you must be under. Sending my thoughts to you and your family. I hope to continue to hear wonderful updates.

Our first child, Peyton Mark, was born sleeping at 33 weeks on Oct. 25th 2011. Developed pre-e at 32 weeks.
Pregnant again with what I pray is our rainbow baby, due Oct. 14th 2012. Will induce labor no later than 38 weeks if we make it that far!

Welcome to the world! I am so sorry you had to enter the world so early. I delivered my son at 25 weeks 2 days. He lived 6 days, but taught me so much. Some advice from what I have learned. If you do not live near the hospital, look into possible Ronald McDonald houses. If you are pumping, ask to do it in the hospital so you don't have to leave her. Ie ears of people actually sleeping on cots at the hospital so they can have naps without leaving. Also, take lots and lts of pictures and videos. You can also put something next to her, like a dollar bill, to show her growth.
Stay strong mama. There will be ups and downs. Just keep talking to your spouse, have a shoulder to lean on. Found a support group, which you have here. Good luck mama I'll be praying for you and your family.

Congratulations on the birth of your precious baby girl. Like you, my daughter was due in November, but was born in August. She was born at 26 and a half weeks. She will turn 11 years old in two weeks. I actually had to kick her off the computer so I could come post this. She is amazing, and taught us so much during her 4 month NICU stay and everyday after that. She is now a happy, healthy young lady. I pray that everything turns out for the best for your little Julia. She sounds like a fighter. Hoping you are doing okay, too. Please keep us posted.
