Guess I'll be hanging out in this forum for a bit! We have had another preemie.
On Monday July 30th at 5:44pm Julia Faith entered this world at 26 weeks 2 days weighing 1 pound 3 ounces and 10 inches long. Julia had to be taken after a bad NST and doppler reading showing that the cord flow was reversed and she was no longer getting what she needed to be able to grow. Julia is in the NICU, doing ok every day, she's been stable...but we know we have a really long road ahead of us. We are praying every day that we'll bring our baby home safe and sound...

Mom to Annabelle born at 26 weeks due to HELLP (2008) I found out I had Factor V and MTHFR after delivery.

Gentle welcome to Julia Faith. I hope she thrives in the nicu, and I will keep you both in my thoughts and prayers. Let us know what you need! I'm not sure how many other micropreemie moms we have around currently, but just holler and we can call on older members for you!

I am ok. Hanging in there, I had a rough c-section, had to have a general so my husband wasn't in the operating room with me. It was not our ideal situation by any means. I have had mostly good days, but a few in bed all day days as well. Trying to stay strong for Julia, pumping, visiting, etc.
Thanks for asking, she's having a "good day" today...we like those. Had some good test results today so we'll take it.

Julia Faith- such a lovely name for a wee precious one. My heart is breaking that she had to arrive so early and that once again your pregnancy was cut short and your birth process was traumatic. Oh the mix of emotions you must be having- it's bringing back anxious memories for me. I am hoping and praying that Julia is able to grow and thrive and come home with you eventually.

Congratulations on the new addition to your family. It is unfortunate that you didn't get to go full term, but I am ecstatic for you that you have a little baby and that both she and yourself are doing well. Please keep us updated!

Daniel born Feb 09 at 27w5d, 1 lb 1 oz/12 inches (severe IUGR) due to Severe Pre-E & HELLP. Now tall for age and no complications.
Diagnosed with MTHFR
Cornual Ectopic miscarriage Mar 11
Natalie born 6-5-12 at full term, 7 lb 11 oz & 21.5 inches, progesterone 2-8 weeks (for suspected luteal phase defect), lovenox 6-29 weeks, lda 0-36 weeks, folic.
