I'm not an expert by any means, but I use this one and really like it:

The cuff adjusts to your arm size and senses when to stop squeezing, which is really nice. (A lot of them end up hurting me, even when I use the appropriate cuff size.) I have checked the reading I've gotten from my machine vs. my OB's office and vs. my MFM's office and it has come up really accurate.

I think most should be fine, but bring in to your doctor's office to see how they compare. And avoid the wrist ones, I have heard they aren't nearly as accurate.

Many of us monitor their BP at home, often as per doctors orders. It is recommended to use one with an arm-cuff rather than a wrist-monitor, as these are less accurate. Be sure that the cuff has the appropriate size for you (not too large, nor too small). In terms of brands, I don't have a recommendation, but you might find user feedback online.

BP Monitor for Home Use

Postby mrsgladden » Tue Sep 11, 2012 01:48 pm

Hey ladies,
I was just wondering if anyone used a blood pressure monitor at home. I was online trying to figure out which one to buy and thought I would ask the experts on this forum before purchasing. Any recommendations?
