Not me Holly, the Dr and a nurse said that about meds masking. Not me. Lol. I have no clue! Anyway, about an hour ago, I'm eating chicken my husband brought. As you guys know, we aren't on diet restriction as a diet low in sodium does nothing for pre-e. Apparently a diet low in sodium isn't important for them period as I've not been on restriction this vist, last visit, time before that, etc. I'm waiting on results as we speak (24 hour). Anyway, my bp has a high reading since the last 2 hours... Already told them by bp creeps up at night, which is why we came in the 1st place yesterday. It was 157/117. The nurse rushes in and think its an error wanting to retake. I'm thinking, hello???!? It's not an error... I've already told you my bp is all over and has been the past three weeks. It's alarming to them but not surprising to me. She takes again, high. She notices I am eating chicken and says "no wonder!" Omg. I'm already irritated. I'm like, ma'am this has nothing to do with my bp. Do you think it's gone up all of a sudden because of chicken?! I've eaten sodium laced foods all day! Also, I'm probably headed towards pre-e." Ugh. I just get so annoyed with a nurse who doesn't know this. It never crossed her mind that I wasn't on a restricted diet?! Or maybe she just didn't take the time to notice before spewing out her nonsense about my chicken! Lol.
