"death by broccoli" just doesn't have quite the same ring as death by chocolate... Judging by how I feel today, I am not ready to eat a pile of cooked veggies for lunch either. My GI doc has PAs that will spend time talking about nutrition and diet with patients. Do you know if your has anything similar? It was really helpful for me. Your insurance might cover a dietician or nutritionist if your GI refers you.

I went to my normal doc today, and he gave me a script for a 1500 calorie crohn's diet and a number to a dietitian.... So, I'm hoping that means my insurance will cover it. He also gave me some allergy meds and a flu shot! LOL I had a very productive morning. I feel like a little kid though because I think the flu shot is making me sleepy... or that is just all in my head and I feel like being lazy today!!! I'm hoping to go to Atlantic City with the hubby tonight though... I should be doing house work but eh, it will be there tomorrow!

We did go to AC and came home with more money then we left with, which is always awesome LOL Hair appointment went well. Hopefully my peri is still on for tomorrow, they called and said my obgyn didn't approve it... I was like uh, check again cuz she suggested it. They said oh, maybe the girls just didn't read the file right. I have been waiting for this appointment for almost a month, you think they would have called sooner so I could get it worked out. I'm going to call and confirm tomorrow, but I'm already frustrated LOL

Went pretty well... about what I expected. Hubby said he was so lost with anti this and gene that LOL But me and the doc had a nice chat. My doc said that he does not think that weight is an issue for SOME people. Of course if you already have high blood pressure or almost do then weight may but since my blood pressure was 111/75 during the visit he didn't think my weight was an issue. He also does not think the MTHFR is an issue with preeclampsia, he said that normally does not cause blood clots but may cause heart problems which I thought was pretty interesting. Sooo he sent me for a bunch of blood work to check for clotting disorders and check my thyroid, I also had to do a urine test. He wants me to have an EKG and an echo done. He says if I get to 28 weeks I can have the baby at our local hosp, they have a new nicu. He said if it is before I have a choose of places to go and do not have to go were I went last time. He also told me I will not being going back 36ish weeks due to the classical incession, I told him that sounds like great news because that was a big concern of mine. If I make it that far I don't want to take any chances with something going wrong later. It is ultra important that everyone knows I had classical because my outside cut is across not up and down. He promised lots of ultrasounds since I had a good ultrasound at 21 weeks last time and it appears her growth slowed down a lot at around 22 weeks. He said anywhere from 25 to 50% I get it again.. normally later though. And they jury is still out on if dad effects it or not. He said he has seen people have a different partner and get it in the second pregnancy but there hasn't been much research done about switching partners and not getting it because second pregnancy alone lowers the risk. I'm happy I went... now I just hope this test today for my abnormal pap goes well... and all my blood work... and the ekg and echo... starting to feel like a lab rat and we haven't even started trying yet LOL

I have MTHFR too and my MFM had a similar reaction. I assume they will test your homocysteine levels too.

My OBGYN got stuck in surgery and my appointment got canceled! I have to wait until next wednesday... I'm trying to think positive, maybe it is God's way of letting my body fix any abnormal cells so the test comes out okay LOL LOL
The consult did sound pretty promising... I'm trying not to think about the fact that it took me two years to get pregnant last time, but this time I kind of don't want it to happen right away because I would love to be in a new house first and we are about a year and a half away from that LOL

I am glad that your consult went well, and sorry to hear that your OB postponed your appointment. The house vs. pregnancy thing will sort itself out. Maybe you will get pregnant super fast just to make the move interesting
