Well I found out I'm pregnant with number three and our last. Just hoping this one goes as smoothly or better than our second pregnancy. I will be posting quite a bit since it helps my sanity over the course of these crazy 8 months......I still can't believe I'm doing this again! I'm excited but just as nervous as I was last time. Any ladies have any input on third pregnancy outcomes? My doc says I now have a 20% of less of reoccurance....hoping I am the other 80%!

My doctors gave me the same odds for this pregnancy as they did for my second (about 12% chance of HELLP, 70% of pre-e), the verdict isn't in quite yet but last week I had a 24 hour urine of 700 mg (but bp is good, baby is growing well and easily passing NST's, so we'll see...they've done steroids just in case and I'm 32 weeks so at a good point.) Just from my observances around here, third pregnancies are almost more of a wild card than the second ones, especially for those of us that had it severe and/or early onset in the first. I'm almost 10 weeks farther than we made it the first time, but it definitely isn't going as smoothly as my last pregnancy (where I had GD, but no protein or pre-e or anything...this time I don't have GD but my protein is up..go figure.)

I have found that being pregnant with a toddler is freaking exhausting, but also nice, because it goes by sooooo fast and is so much easier emotionally (even with my drama, I'm a ton more chill about this than I was or could have been with Luke).

Congratulations! I hope you will have an easy pregnancy that will go by fast. I dont know much about odds on a third pregnancy, and would, as usual go by what your doctor says who can also assess your medical background. When are you due?

My third pregnancy was totally uneventful. But, she has a different Daddy than the first two. Which we all know changes your chances of having issues with PE/HELLP. My MFM this time told me it was practically statistically impossible for me to have issues with this pregnancy since I didn't with my 3rd. We will see.

Congratulations!! I also cannot believe that we decided to go through all of this for a 3rd time but my doctor gave me pretty good odds of avoiding PE but said I will most likely have BP issues later on at some point. So far so good, although I am about to hit the 20 week mark when things started going crazy with #1 so I am getting nervous!! I just keep reminding myself that it will all be worth it in the end I hope you have a wonderful pregnancy!

Thanks ladies. It's great to hear I am not the only totally crazy lady who said sure why not number 3? lol! First step is to make it to my first appointment next Thursday and just hope for a healthy heartbeat and viable pregnancy. I feel like something is very wrong ( call me crazy) but I do not feel pregnant. I feel totally normal no symptoms at all....makes me a bit worried. I felt pregnant from the get go with both of my girls.

A doctor that said "practically statistically impossible" would actually make me more nervous, I think. Look at Michelle Duggar. But I hope in your case they are right.
