Re: Water weight?
I'm not sure if this helps but after they put me in the hos for observation and on a low sodium diet, I lost 6 lbs over 2 days. I also felt so much better. I hope that helps.

Re: Water weight?
I normally weigh 4 to 5 pounds more due to water retention when I get my period, so I would guess that you could have lost some weight due to water, and some due to eating healthier.

I'm also salt sensitive. I've noticed I can fluctuate a few pounds based on salt intake/ changes in blood pressure. Usually when my BP is higher I'll retain more fluid.
On the other hand I know when I gain several pounds in a day it is a big red flag for pre-e in my case.
I lost a little weight beginning of my second pregnancy due to morning sickness. My OB at the time wasn't concerned since I was overweight to begin with.

Water weight?
At my last OB appointment, I weighed 7 pounds less than the appointment from 3 weeks prior. That's a big loss, especially for the 2nd trimester. However, since I've been diagnosed chronic hypertensive with this pregnancy, I've switched to a low salt diet. I'm wondering if that's the reason why the sudden and very large loss.
Anybody know about how much water weight you'd expect to lose in going from a "standard" unhealthy salt level diet (frequent fast food, etc) to a "within DRV" (2300 mg/day) salt level diet? I'm trying to figure out if this is a mostly phantom issue, or if I'm not gaining enough. The baby was right on for growth at the ultrasound, so he's fine, but I don't want to waste away if I can avoid it!
